Little Hairy Monsters!
Every spring they come! I dread to see the first one of them! They are the most terrifying little monsters I have ever seen! CENTIPEDES!!!!!! I always demand that Rich sprays to ward them off, but because of our basement, they think of here like a haven of sorts, and I am terrified of them! This morning I saw the first one on the floor, and he appeared to be dead....I poked him with my toe.....no movement, then when Rich came down he got him up and he was ALIVE!!!!!!!!! Rich killed him, but I TOUCHED HIM WITH MY TOE!!!!!!!!! Now it is numb!!!!!!! I can hardly stand it!!!!!!!! We will be spraying again tonight or I will not sleep!!!!!! Enough said :0)
Cabbage
My husband loves to go get our little Lu in the mornings! It is always funny to go in and see her with all her stuffed animals strewn all over the crib. Saturday morning after a nap he went in to get her, and I listened to to her chatter happily as she saw him. He laughed at her usual sweetness, and exclaimed "Lu, do you have cabbage?" I listened puzzled as she giggled and played with him, and he kept going on and on about this cabbage. Then he carried her in with "cabbage" a four inch plush baby doll, and I laughed and laughed! he looked at me with all seriousness and said, "She is a Cabbage Patch baby right?" I love him so much, and that is how Cabbage got her name!

Bathtime
Tonight during the bath Lulu played happily, as usual, with the foam letters, Coral her mermaid, ( her prize from her last trip to the doctor to get shots) her books, and the trusty pink elephant. She talks and babbles along as I wash her hair and rinse her off. Tonight, however, she was especially smiley, and kept looking at her Daddy and giggling because she wanted him to laugh at her silliness. It is such an important bond they have, and she lights up when she sees him! She wants him to be proud of her even as she splashes and blows bubbles in the bath. It is important to have his approval! She is so blessed, though she has yet to comprehend how much. She has a wonderful loving Daddy, who protects her although he is not perfect, he is a wonderful example of her heavenly Daddy! As I watch her seek Rich's approval, it reminds me of the approval I seek from my heavenly Daddy, and how much I love to feel His presence near me each day! As Lulu grows, she will come to know our Abba, as a loving caring Daddy just like her earthly one, and I pray she seeks His approval, just like she does her earthly Daddy now all the days of her life!

I am a Kitten
When I was a little girl, my mama used to read the book "I am a Kitten" to me often. I knew the words by heart! When I found out I was pregnant, I pulled out that precious book and read it to Lulu in my tummy often. Her Daddy read it too, and sweet Emma, one of my all grown up babies! Now as I sit each day and read to my girl, I love how she stops and looks with big brown-eyed curiosity at the book that her momma so loved! Such a wonderful memory to pass on.....I am a kitten, my name is Kate! I love in a pleasant house in the country......
Tea with the Princess!
Sometimes I still can't believe that I have a beautiful baby girl! She is such a blessing to my life! I love that as she grows we are learning more about her big personality. Her likes.....playing outside, reading books, and anything that lights up, and her dislikes.....wiping off her face, cutting her her nails, strapping her in anything....she must be free! She is blossoming into such a "real little person" as my brother Andy so lovingly exclaims. She is so much fun, and on the go! Rich often says, let's get a few good nights sleep in before we even think of more, but she gets bigger everyday, and I finally realize the bitter sweetness of what my own sweet mama says..."One day you will know how I feel." I want her to stay seven months forever, but I want more tea parties, and dress-up, dancing, and singing, and so much more! I want to experiences every new day with her and watch her grow into the princess warrior God created her to be! I take each day seriously as I share about the best prince of all, Jesus, with her everyday! So even as I watch her grow, and wish each moment would last forever, I look forward to more tea parties and blessings that fall from our Father!
